"Doing what you are told regardless of what is right" also reminds me of the fatal attitude of individuals within the machinery of Hitler's Nazi regime - an atheist regime. Funny that those who resisted and did not do what they were told in those circumstances were in some cases religious individuals, such as the Protestant Bonnhöfer, whose Christian principles neither allowed him to obey nor to flee to the USA, so he ended up in jail and died.
