In real life, I have never heard any other person mention this as an obstacle - except Ian who had a slightly different take on the subject, but that was resolved in the Great Complex Chord Battle right here on SZ. In the MP3 examples Ian asked for samples of, the Midi guitars did not even cut in at all. Anyone reading this who wants to compares Yamaha's handling of those chords against Ketron's can search for it. It must be two years ago?
My take was that the guitar voicings weren't really correct for
some of the complex chords, especially those with
bass inversions. Yes, the bass notes were handled by the
audio bass guitar track, but sometimes you want to start a verse with
just rhythm/arpeggio guitar(s)and sometimes, yes, those chords might be bass inversion, and the examples I heard (and asked for) did not address this issue.
Otherwise the Audya sounds very impressive, and I have no other issue with it's great audio styles other than the minor one above.
Yamaha's latest Style Player with GE (Guitar Effect) covers these chords very effectively...again, a small issue, but a detail that may matter to some players.
