As there've been reports of pink elephants seen at places I've played (aka: bars), perhaps this explains it.

Seriously though, Gary's poor/weak solder joint explanation makes MOST sense to me. As gigging musicians, having to repeatedly insert & remove the power cord plug into our kbs puts excess stress on the connection point of the board where the power cord plugs into. I really don't think Yamaha designed the PSR3000 to stand up to the rigors of constant daily setup & breakdown. Perhaps it's time for Yamaha to consider releasing a more road durable version (including XLR mic input) of the PSR3000, yet still maintaining its appealing lightweight & compact size. Larry, hope that a simple re-soldering of the power cord plug connector board solves your problem. Keep us posted.
