I had that problem with another brand keyboard spent months trying to figure it out and they found it was either a small crack in the circuit board or the ribbon cable connecting two circuit boards inside.

The explaination was when you put it on a stand with two support points ( like an X stand), not to mention the moving set up tear down ride in car, it bows the board just enough for the contacts to come loose.
If you set it on a table the problem would not soon repeat itself.

I don't know if this is related or if this helps,but the symptoms sound the same the board would shut off. Sometimes it would shut off and come right back on and reboot.
