Another G70 tip.

The G70 can not save edited tones or favorite tones... or does it?

The answer is YES!!.

This is a work around, although I think Roland intended users would use it.

You can edit any sound on the G70 (basic edits, not as deep as EA7) .

After editing write them as a user program. You just wrote a user tone.

Rename the user program so it describes your user tone.

Save as a user program (you do not have to save in the User Program
set list.. Save in the User program memory (limited to the size of memory source).

When naming the user tone use a prefix (Maybe a "-" to show it is a user tone).
This way you could do a search and all the "-" tone names will be shown instantly.

You could also use set list (144) if you want and save as a set list to reload
(in seconds).

Now prepare the "hold" to allow only the tone when you select a user program
This will only function when the HOLD light is on (easy activation).

So now you have edited User Tones and Favorite tones.

BTW: the edited sounds include all 6 realtime sounds (you select the part
you want to play .. 1 or all 6). Use layered or splits.
