Hi all
Wonder why no one at Ketron can tell me what "INT. PHASE ERROR" means. They must know what's wrong when this message pops up from time to time. Then I have no output sound at all. I'm sure someone wrote this message in the software for some reason. Loss of "count in " tick is nothing compared to this. Another one today.

Skude,

Not sure if it's for the same reasons, but when I mess around with swapping drives, i would get that error on boot-up, i got rid of it after re-loading the hard drive, and doing a OS re-load. Actually can't remember each thing but I also had that error.

I think it's vacation time in the US for you

I have just done what Ketron told me to, after I got all new boards and new HD. They loaded OS3 from factory and then I was told to update to 4.1A. I have checked all connectors. It was just the same with the original HD, and first SB second SB and now third SB. Before changing the parts I tried reloading OS starting from OS2.0.(told by AJ). Still the same. The worst is that these issues appears randomly. Never know when. Could this be some bad cable connector? Thought Ketron was interested in finding the fault, not so sure anymore.
This year is when I really need a US vacation. You never know Frank, may be a free lunch for you

Skude,

OS4.0 is full blown OS, that means if you have all the files copy onto your PC you can format the drive in FAT32 then format in the Audya and pu all the OS4.0 back on, this is the only way to get rid of INT PHASE ERROR, have you rum the ROM test again today, try it and come back.

I will, when I got the new parts the service guy told me he was going on vacation. Long vacations in this country, not only Italy. Still waiting to get some wise answers from Ketron It. They have my E-mails. I have surge protector, but we do have a very stable power.

tony makes a good point

why is "Ketron" telling people to install 2.0 or 3.0 then 4.0 etc

i mean if 4.0 is the FULL version
then why these incremental installs?

and if 4.0 is not FULL version (stand alone)
then it ABSOLUTELY) should be

Skude - Just another thought; when you are swapping out parts, are you earthing yourself correctly? Also when you are gigging do you carry an earth tester to check that the venue's supply is good? (all professional musicians should have one of these)

Leezone - if you have a version 4 Audya (or 4.1) backup you can go from any previous version. you don't have update incrementaly as pre version 4 os's.

You bet I do. I'm far from beeing a keyboard specialist, but I have been a radio amateur oparator for 40 years, have put together a few things during the years. Can't say I check earth everywhere I gig. But never had any AC or earth problems before.

I'm not sure you understand me

if OS is standalone then why bother with old OS which may have the bugs

start from scratch. Like you would on any computer giving you problems.
Wipe out HD. And reinstall latest Forget the old OS

I can't believe Ketron asking to just update what you got

I think this would solve many problems
but what do I know ?

I made this question, (for the message INT. PHASE ERROR) in a engeneer of Ketron, and the responce is it:
(Some device does not have been loaded....usually happens when you turn off, and you reboot quickly...)

I heard the same story. How long do we have to wait to turn it ON again before Ketron will not call it a quick reboot. Turning ON again the next day is obviously too quick

Sorry, was not ment for you, appreciate your help, thanks. I got the same message from Ketron, that's was why I was a little sarcastic about this. I told them how I turn my KB ON/OFF.

Skude,

We both know that turning on and off fast with any modern electronic kit should not jam up the works, this has been put out by someone who doesn’t know what they are talking about. However, if it is true and the source of this as INT PHASE ERROR explanation as a result of rapid on/off it would concern me that Ketron electronics are not at their best. They have built the KB for WW use and must conform to all WW electrical supplies, no requirement for harmonic filters and the like, surely. I have turned my KB on and off fast 100s of times and I have never had the problem.UK power supplies are some of the best in the world!
