Nobody has ever come up with a better stand system than the old "pipes". I have several stands "made" from that stuff and nothing is more versatile, strong, light weight and easy to transport. Been using 'em for about 40 years!
Yes it's a great stand Unless you have to setup breakdown everyday and load it in your car... but for me and convenience the X Stand is still King..
