Yeah, I love the old-style USS stands; I too have been using them for 40 years. I have 2 of them, plus a lot of misc. parts etc., so I can easily adapt each time I buy a new keyboard (such as the move from Tyros5 to Genos).
To DNJ ... yes, I try "somewhat" to minimize what I carry, but take what I want to feel I'm doing things they way I like and enjoy. The Genos, plus the 10-pound (<5kg) Code49 does not seem too bad. That and a small PA (for most gigs), and bag with a few cables, and I'm good to go. Gotta use the Rock'n'Roller cart of course! :-) That cart is a major back-saver. . . I actually have 2 of them (a model 12 "all-terrain", and a newer model 6 with the non-pneumatic "glider" wheels).
And all I need to cable up the M-Audio Code49 is a short USB cable (from Genos to Code49) to supply power, and a short MIDI cable.
