Bill ... funny you mention this ... I have been playing gigs at a few senior independent living places for a number of years ... the folks that hire me are very friendly and hospitable and usually call me to see what dates I have open before setting the date for their parties ... however, they have never asked me if I wanted anything to eat or drink ... I bring my own bottles of water and seldom eat during a gig anymore - the days of having big prime rib dinners when we were the wedding house band at a catering hall are long gone for me - ... at one of my Christmas gigs this year, one of the residents actually came up to me and asked if he could get me something to eat ... I thought that was both very thoughtful and interesting ...

As for CCs, I am sure all of us who have played weddings etc. in some of these places have experienced times when the bridal couple paid for full dinners for the band and we were served ham and cheese sandwiches ...
