Give it a chance. You're an old dog who needs to learn some new tricks. You can control CS with it too!
Put VH on/off on #1, put Break/Fill on #3, and what ever else you might use on the middle three.
I still use separate sustain pedal most of the time.
You have to get used to it, then it will be second nature.
