It's pretty straight forward. The hard drive would be positioned on the posts the same as the floppy drive was in the 2000, the USB connection would then be via a USB 2-port hub, which is available for prices under $10. This would be hard-wired to the USB connector. That's pretty much all there is to it.

For me, I don't see the need for an internal hard drive. I have yet to fill a 256 meg thumb drive and there is still lots of room on my Smart Media Card. It is my fondest hope that the next generation Yamaha PSR arranger keyboards will be equipped with Flash Media, which would replace the now obsolete Smart Media. This would allow huge amounts of storage in a device that is far more durable, and the price of flash media is rapidly dropping.
