I'm sort in agreement with you; I'm nowhere near filling my Smartmedia card either; it's just that small (<5 gig) notepook hard discs are now getting very economical in price; as are USB 1 hard disc cases / adapters, given that discs of this size are now "surplus" and USB 1.1 is "slow". The idea of having a (practically) limitless amount of storage for not a lot of outlay is very appealing!
