Diki, one of the very few good things about getting old is, I can be as obnoxious as possible and no one can do a damn thing about it(LOL)! Don't like tunes associated with Bill Anderson (whispering Bill), Elvis, Jimmy Buffet and a few others. Not g

Diki, Most of the folks that I've recommended headset mics to seem to have nothing but glowing reports about when comes out of their speakers. Now, as I've said dozens of times, they're not for everyone. When I'm sitting behind the keyboard, I'm con

I don't believe that many arrangers have this. My G70 does, but the BK-9 doesn't. I don't believe the T4 has a mike only output pair, nor the PA3Xpro. And I'm fairly sure no MOTL arranger does.

That's the thing about keyboard players... other than keytar users, you are static. How many of us move around a lot while we play? I've never seen a picture of you, for instance, doing anything but sitting behind your arranger. And Gary, sorry, but

Today I’ve discovered by chance that Roland produces a lot of expensive equipment for printing establishments like gigantic printers or scanners. I used to think that all their business was musical instruments.

Currently, the iPad is the only platform for the Roland apps... But the guy who wrote the Session Manager software for the G/E series is currently working on porting it for the BK series, and likely that will work with any Windows based tablet...

Well, you know I am not exactly a gear lust kind of guy! The BK-9 is my first arranger since I bought my G70, and that was eight years ago. And the G1000 prior to it lasted more than ten years! And, TBH, if it wasn't for the Chord Sequencer, I might

For what it's worth, I'm with Gary. I have used a dozen or more handheld mics, and the super cardoids have worked well as far as expression and feedback suppression is concerned. However, when I have a lot of moving to do, I grab my Sennheiser wire

Sparky, feedback has never been a problem with the Crown CM-311A. It's a cardiod mic with a very short vocal proximity range. Take a look at http://www.crownaudio.com/media/pdf/mics/102546.pdf Gary

There is the issue of feedback with the headsets as they are omnidirectional. couldn't use them with the accordion- needed a super cardoid mic (Sennheiser 945) that didn't interfere with the condensor mics in the instrument. Same problem can occur wi

Thanks so much Allen for your detailed review of the XW-P1. Although you found the organ Leslie effect was not authentic do you think it would it still work in a full mix?

I really enjoyed your songs Dennis. So much feel and heart in them. I saw/heard Paul Kelly and his nephew perform here in Santa Barbara CA a month or so ago and they were wonderful. I really think you would fit in well sharing the bill with them.
