What speakers would be suitable for the KN7k/KN2600 to play in a small to medium size hall?
Derek

Derek... First it would depend on your budget ...
But I have used :
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/224&cl=US,EN

and am now using:
http://www.onlyfactorydirect.net/servlet/Detail?no=188

BOTH with great success ...
And I use an alesis fx6 mixer for the mic and kb into the speakers ...
http://www.alesis.com/multimix6fx

Best of Luck,
t.

Hi Derek,

Before you go to the expense of buying new speakers, try changing the REVERB on the KN7 in particular. You will find several options there e.g. Small Hall, Large Hall,
Live etc.

If I'm doing a celebration party which I know will get noisier after they've had a drink or two, I usually use the Large Hall or Live reverb setting.

Press and hold down the REVERB button until the Reverb screen appears and you will see two pages of 'options' Take your pick and save it along with your sets.

It could save you a few pounds.

Good luck!

Audrey

Audrey, I tried your suggestion re reverb at home but I've yet to try it in a hall. Regarding the speakers, I was only sounding out what other Technics owners use, I don't play enough to warrannt purchasing speakers.

Well I have to say you wouldn't guess that from your initial question, Derek...
Spoke to an old chum of yours from your part of the world on the phone a couple of days ago about modulation wheels...
I use Torque amplification equipment which is designed specifically for keyboards for all sizes of room or hall and with of course immediate volume control close to your left hand...
