I'm pretty sure the auto parts were triggered by the right hand, but I didn't listen that closely. Bassist mode is my guess over manual bass.

Both. KETRON has a BASSIST mode that allows the chords to be triggered by the RIGHT hand (when you use a sustain pedal, the chord recognition is turned off allowing you to solo ...so he is using both).
