Yes, I bought the Pa1000 mid 2019 as I do like Korg's OS having had Korg's before.I was wanting very much to like it but even after EQ adjustments into the night my ears kept saying no.
Individual voices were fine but combining with styles the overall sound was as if playing behind a thin blanket. (Even on Headphones)
Even now I'm puzzled. Fortunately my local dealer offered full refund so I purchased a very clean T5-76 which sounds excellent.

Graham... Very interesting findings shared by many players.. T4 vs T5 is another mystery sound wise overall for many too?

I mapped my 3 to the 1000 and took out live to a couple jobs. No comparison vs the 3X - I unloaded asap. Same with the 4X, but willing to give that a shot again if given the opportunity. God only knows what's best - think He says "stay on course" lol.

I still think the pa1000 is the best keyboard ever made for my needs. Really that is all that counts. Everybody has different
reasons for liking a keyboard but for me it's great sounds great styles super on board speakers. a tilt touchscreen and great mic system with harmony built in. You can load samples if you need special sounds and of course all this for a little more than 20 pounds and under $2000 . Whats not to like.

I'm not reading any more Dnj posts that have to do with keyboards.

Thanks for posting this Donny. It is a wonderful keyboard but it had to slowly grow on me since at the time I still had the PA900 and initially it didn't grab me like I thought, but after getting used to it (and the fact that I've got the PA900 styles in the user bank anyway), it felt like I had the best of both worlds. The new styles are great, the amplification is powerful, the drums to me sound more punchy than the PA900. There is nothing to fault it really.

I read them, but only when I'm in the mood for good fiction smile.

Donny, what were the things you didn’t like about the PA4X?
