I would like to say thank you to all members for making this a great forum which I look forward to visiting.

I am guessing from your message that you have a KN7000. If you would like to be on my KN7000 email list just drop me an email and I will be happy to add you and start sending you some of the songs etc
Best to you and yours,

Hi Bebop
At 70 years of age, I can live with being called Junior.
I was in the chemist to day when a lady in front of me, said to the person behind the counter,
You may serve this young gentleman first, referring to me, I nearly slipped off my zimmer frame.
Just when one is thinking that the KN7000 is the main reason for living {and the good lady of course}
A kind word makes all the difference.

HI Fred,
I see you are younger then me and several other old fxxxts on the forum so I guess it is ok if we call you junior.
I have now added you to the email list for the KN7000 and welcome you to that list also. You will soon be receiving some song files from our members.
Best to you and thank you for joining us

Is there a place where members can share files?

Hi,

Im also new. Not only to this forum but also to Technics Keyboard. I bought a KN2600 when Thomann sold out the keyboard for under 600 Euro. I think i´ve got lots of keyboard for that amount of money.

Can i play your songs with my KN2600?

Hi Bebop,
A whole year has flown by since replying to your invitation to join the forum.
I must admit I am not technically minded, and my approach to the computer is
like walking over broken glass in bare feet.

I am pleased I answered your invitation, because I have learnt a lot from
joining the forum, not just about my keyboard the KN7000,
but how to down load my music onto a floppy disk,
put it into the computer, download the files onto the hard disk, put them into a zip file,
add them to an e-mail and send it to you to distribute
round the world.

I was encouraged to down load the ‘window media player’, load my music from the KN7000
to my computer through the USB lead, record it on the computer, compress files, and send them to Larry Hawk to display on his TECHNIC FOR ALL Web Page for any one to access and listen to.
Although the above procedures may seem fairly strait forward for many people, for me it was a steep,
and exciting learning curve, which added to my confidence when using the computer.

The discussions on the forum are always of interest to me and always informative, and any problem
with a Technic Keyboard will get a reply, the depth of knowledge is surprising, and I would like to thank the many members who have added to my enjoyment, when reading their contribution to the
forum.

There are members who deserve special praise for their contribution to the forum, both technically and musically, but I don’t want to take any thing away from the many who have added to the quality
of the forum with their contribution.
I will admit I have obtained more from this forum than I have been able to give and I would like to
thank you all for that, it is an experience that I am pleased I did not miss.

It was all brought about by overcoming my apprehension of joining the forum and answering Bebop’s
invitation.
THANK YOU Bebop you are great and generous man.
All the best to you and yours,
Fred UK

HI FRED,
You surely have climbed a steep and exciting learning curve for a dude that is now 70 or 71. It is amazing isn't it what you can still learn and begin to do, not to mention all the fun of it too.
I find myself like you in a constant learning curve on a daily basis. Our age may be against us but with tenacity and endurance we keep on keeping on.
It is really a joy to me to have so many older people here in the forum teaching each other, that we might all benefit from each others experiences.
I too extend my thanks to all those that make a great effort to teach all our members everything it is helpful for them to know. We also must remember to give NIGEL the credit for letting us have this forum and the freedom of expression we have here.
I must say that Nigel has never told me what I can or can not say or do here and so this in and of itself is a learning curve for me.
Fred you are an inspiration to us all. Keep on Keeping ON!
Best to you and all our new members. Thank you for becoming part of our big family of Technicies
Anyone that wants to share files can do so by emailing them to Cee's as Technics files, Larry as WMA files, or me as Technics Files. We all three have our requirements for doing this so email us first and get on an approved list for file sharing. You can email the person making a post by clicking on the icon at the top of their post.

A Short Note:

From both of us to Bill 'Bebop' -

You've been good and kind enough to 'publish' some of our work recently. We're very grateful. I know that some of the members don't like 'Step' recording but, what the hell, it's the way we play. At least the majority of the members who've contacted us have had some good comments as well as a few hints of altering the style, etc. but we're only human.

Please keep up the good work. Joining was probably the best thing we did after getting the 'board.

Mark & Lucy
