I hope that fellow’s information is valid. I still want to hear the reaction of someone who was present at the initial, live presentation.

"DNJ. I'm not so sure that guy is on the money?! And I think for Yamaha to be competitive the will have to be competitive on price. The pa4x is a great keyboard, you love, I love it, so what will make anyone make the jump? Price! That's it. If the Genos is way over price Yamaha whilst getting early adopters will over time loose a market they want to capture?.

What are the credentials of the so called info source. Dealers are under an MDA, hardly think they are going to divulge details to the source that has been quoted. Think on it."

Robbo people will buy Genos just out of Yamaha loyalty no matter what the price.....because its NEW.

For 61 keys your gonna have to wait for the S970 replacement MOTlL KB whenever that is..which should be more of an arrranger vs a workstation/synth/arranger like Genos

Do you think not having a 61 key version will be a mistake from Yamaha that is going to cost them customers?

If it’s only 2” wider and weighs similar then No, as it is still nice and compact which a lot of users are looking for.

Yes Bachus, I think if there really is only a 76 key version of the Genos it will cost Yamaha sales regardless of size and weight.

What's the difference 76 keys is fine if the majority plays in their living rooms?
and many Genos features probably wont serve the needs of the traditional arranger KB player but more suited to the EDM dance players, etc,....judging by whats been seen so far. That said whats wrong wit the T5/T4
Im sure they are still very capable instruments for anyone's arranger needs.....shelling out a big chunk of change as stated $4500.00+ makes you really think first for a living room piece.
