Pretty good band that the owner loved and could only book once a month . He gets on the mic and announces that anyone who puts a five in their bucket gets a free shot. They were having a LARGE time stayed from 7:00 to closing. The Birthday "girl" came up in the middle of a song and before I could stop her, grabbed my jar and started going around to the tables with it. Not cool, but dang, she was having so much fun than most everybody dug in and contributed. By the end of the night there was more than four h in it. I played the entire four hours with only one break, then another 30 minutes extra. You don't mind working hard if people are appreciating it! _________________________ DonM

Had a similar thing this Spring sitting in with a band. Guitar player was on and ego trip and didn't want to do any requests. He staggers to a booth. 1/2 hour later, he says," when are you going to play my song?" I say, "Bill, I played it when you first came in". He says, "Thanks buddy", and staggers off. Been so long, I don';t even remember what the song is. What the heck does he expect for $15,000.00?(LOL). Russ
