I purchased another Kn7000 for two reasons.

1-It has to be the best arranger keyboard ever made; even though it lacks some of the new features. Itís still a joy to sit and play it.
2-Forums are great to receive information about how other people are using their keyboards. We get to her their music and learn about the people in the Technics community. I have made friends on this forum that go back many, many years.

My question is;
How can we make this forum active again? How can we make this forum a place to visit every day hoping to read another interesting post/story? There are still enough Kn7000 keyboard players out there to make this a great place to visit. Even if you have a new Yamaha or Korg, or whatever keyboard. I have a Korg Pa900 and a Kn7000, both keyboards are beautiful in their own way.

I would love to see 5 to 10 posts everyday Ė and they are not confined to an arranger keyboards, the rest of your life is important enough to share with the people on the forum. It is a bit discouraging to see not post for a day, week, or longer.

Iím trying my best Ė John C.

Congrats!

Even if I don't have any Technics KN after the KN5k was sold, I've been peeking in here on regulary basis.

I'm also looking into local ebay and similiar sites to see if a desent KN6500 or other KN's should appear, so maybe someday my archived Technics stuff can come to life again. smile
The only thing I'm worried about is if the floppydrive on a KN6500 and down should have to be replaced.... that could be a hard nut to solve, or?

Anyway, enjoy the KN7000!

I agree with everything said . I check the forum most days and I'm always happy when someone post's something .
I'll always have a soft spot for Technics I gigged for 20yrs with the technics smac1200 module and my midi accordion , never ever let me down !!!had a lot of fun !! I've since sold both my kn7000 keyboards and smac1200 , they have gone to good homes so I'm happy about that.
I always fond the Technics forum members kind and very helpful and they are a great source of information , sheet music etc . if you are looking for sheet music ...you can bet that someone on the technics forum will help !!

Looking into the mirror it's seems like I need twice as much "medicine" compared to what keeps Roger young.

Oh well, I still manage to hit some of the keyboard keys as much as it make some sound....... laugh

Come on Gunnar,things are not that bad!!!!!LOL. IF you go for another Technics you can always use an Emulator instead of the Kn5000 disk drive or go up to a KN8000 or KN7000 the drives in the KN7000 are still quite easy to find and they are made by "ALPS" but the Sony 920 will also fit.
Keep on bashing those keys. John.
