They are all busy playing and posting on the various Yamaha forums.
I have had quite a few owners in contact with me regarding after sales help as well.
A friend, who lives near by, has the Tyros5-76 which I played a few weeks ago, and I must say it is beauty of a keyboard. He absolutely LOVES it and coming from a Yamaha 9000 PRo (which he still has and uses) he found the T5's 76 note FSX action to be one of the best he's ever played, and he's played and owned quite a few keyboards.
From what info I could get from dealers I am still in touch with, the Tyros5-76 and the Tyros5-61 are roughly even in sales.
I'm still totally content with my now very personalized Tyros4, but if I was needing a high quality 76'er I'd definitely get a Tyros5-76.

I think the excitement always dies down a bit after the initial rush for any new arranger.
It was much the same after Tyros3 and Tyros4, and PSR S910 and S950.
Korg and Roland have also had similar experiences, although I am still surprised at the lack of interest in the BK-9, which appears to be, for all purposes, a great little lightweight 76'er.
I believe all companies have been making exceptionally powerful and great sounding instruments, especially in the last five years or so, and it's basically down to personal choice on what works best and sounds most satisfactory to the user.
Ian
PS...congrats on your anniversary with the S950, Donny.

Flu shot I got in October.... and still I contracted the flu in Feb go figure..
Never had a shot - never had the flu. Me neither...never had a flu shot. Never got the flu, and, if I ever did have it, it was probably while I was still drinking and drugging, and that was more than 30 years ago. I don't want anyone, including a Doctor, deliberately infecting me with any kind of sickness. I tend to take a bit more vitamin C during the flu seasons, and I always carry Hand Sanitizer and use it often, especially at grocery store or other public places. Two people in my building had flu shots, and both ended up with the flu a month later, and both had relapses...one ended up hospitalized. These ladies were both in their 50's and in otherwise good health. Ian

Well I haven't had one either, but the serum they use now does not have the flu virus in it, like the early ones did. Thing is, the shot only protects against one strain, usually the most prevalent one, so it's easy to still get the flu after you had a shot, and then it's only natural to blame it on taking the shot. If someone gives me the flu, I'll rub my staph infected skin on them! Really though, if it's out there my grandson is going to bring it home!

Here's a swine flu statistic that will give you a warm fuzzy feeling - there were more people that died from the swing flu vaccine than actually contracted swine flu. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articl...their-toll.aspx Never had a flu shot, never had the flu. I worked in two of the nations largest hospitals for 15 years, exposed to some of the most contagious diseases anyone can imagine, TB, flu, staph, you name it, and never contracted any of them. And of all the health care professionals I know, which is hundreds, none of them get the flu or pneumonia shots. Most of the flu vaccines are for influenza that occurred two to three years ago. Wonderful! Gary

As far as I know, it's much the same as on the Tyros4 and S950.
One thing I'm glad they fixed on Tyros4, and S950 (and quite likely it's repaired on Tyros5) was that annoying hiccup when you added the harmony while singing a note.
For the limited amount of harmony work I use it for (as when I have a guest singer) it works pretty good, but I'm also careful not to use it too much, as, with any harmonizer, too much is usually WAY too much.
I like using it as a Vocoder, which it does magnificently well, especially on certain sounds.
I believe that those who are really fussy will still use outboard harmonizer units, but for basic usage, I think the VH-2 is quite serviceable.

I'm sorry but...Unless someone can prove to MY ears that VH2 has been improved and up to par on the quality of the TC Helicon or Digitech units tracking & harmony quality the jury is still out for me. No need to apologize, Donny...these are only our opinions. I wouldn't say the VH-2 is up to the quality of Helicon or Digitech units. I remember using a Digitech harmonizer many years ago, in the late 80's, I believe, and it was pretty good back then, so they have many years of experience that goes towards making their product an excellent unit. I also said, those really fussy about harmony will usually go with one of the above outboard units, but for general purposes, the VH-2 works a treat for me and many others. So, if you must have the best...get a Helicon or Digitech. For people like me, who only use the harmonizer for the very basics, and for vocoding, it works pretty good, and I don't need to hook up extra equipment. It does pay however, to dig into the VH-2 and customize the presets, as it can make a big improvement, but, again, still not up to the Helicon and Digitech. I'm not much of a fan of the harmonizer in general, as none sound totally realistic to my ears, and many people tend to overuse them. Ian
