AJ,

Excuse my ignorance, but what is "Arp&Lick mode"?

Was no able to find any reference in the Manual.

I agree with all above love the pen drive update the Audya's fabulous, and getting better,

can anyone tell me is there a way to have the left sound on hold, so that when you release keys it continues to play, and if not can we include that in the next update. But so far very happy with what i'm seeing and hearing!!

Ahh .. the manual. I am in the process of writing a Quick Guide, Hints and Tips for the AUDYA ... pretty much re-writting the Manual.

* Press STYLE VIEW. This displays all the style parts.
* Press CHORD 4 (F9) twice. This toggles between the regular MIDI part and Arp&Lick (Arpeggio and Licks). When Arp&Lick is displayed, use the data wheel to select which one you want ... from Piano, Guitar, synth, string lines ... etc - like Multi Pads in other manufactures. You can do this when the style is playing and select a differet Arp&Lick for each Arranger Part (A-D), depending on if GLOBAL/SINGL (U5/10) is selected.

Thanks,

AJ

You cannot have the LEFT Voice hold (I assume play when you release the left chord), however you can have either or both of the 2 LOWER voices hold (same results ... just by using the LOWER VOICE, rather than the LEFT voice). Simply pressing "HOLD" won't get you the results you are looking for I believe.

To achieve this, proceed as follows:-

* Press STYLE MODE to access the STYLE MODE screen.
* Press F1 and F2 and turn them both on [Lower Hold = On] (or just 1 if you are interested in having only 1 of the left/lower voices hold).
* Change F5 to MODE 3 (Hold STOP) which means hold notes/chord even when Arranger is/has been stopped.
* Press the HOLD button below screen (LED on) - as you would when playing a regular style to hold chords when keyboard is released.
* Make sure MUTE (F4) is OFF, otherwise if On, LOWER SOUNDS are mutted.

Now try it .. then save CUSTOM SETUP so you don't repeat this each time you turn on your unit ...or save to a specific registration if needed only here and there...

Not that when you change the style, the LOWER VOICES might change as they are determined by the style ... to prevent this press F9 (VOICE LOCK) to lock/freeze the Lower voices so that as you change from style to style, these voices remain unchanged.

Thanks,

AJ

PS: Make sure the LOWER volume slidder is up!

Working on that ... using Presets within PROGRAM VOICES.

A little tricky though ....

Thanks,

AJ

I think it should be a matter of course like in Tyros that you can mix/blend the presets.
GM-voices are always the more poor sounding voices.
