I have a lot of registrations saved that were made under previous operating systems.
Can you tell me if they POINT to the styles or if the styles are saved with changes when you save a registration?
In other words, if I have saved a registration using a factory style and the style has been changed some in the new update, will my Registration play the old version of the style or the new version?

Your registration will play the new version of the style, however, due to the new styles that have been added, your registration might play the new style found in the old location - remember, the Registration memorizes the LOCATION and not the actual style. So if you switch two styles between location 001 and 002, and your registration was linked to the style in 001, it will still point to the style in 001, however it now depends on what style is in 001!,

It shouldn't be that drastic though as most of the modification is within the styles themselves.

PS: In your case however, when the update is complete do what I told you (with regards to copying the styles from ...) and you should have no problem with the registrations.
