John Barr passed away yesterday. I have passed on our condolences to his wife Doreen.

Didn't know John but my thoughts also, are with his family and friends.
As we are mostly of advanced years, this is one of the sadder, but fairly regular, aspects of the forum so I wish good health to all our members - may you live long and continue to make good music with your Technics keyboards.

It is so sad to hear of John's death. I would also like to offer my condolences to Doreen and the rest of his family. As most of you will know, John has suffered many months of ill health and I hope Doreen and his family can get some comfort from knowing that he is now at peace.

I never met John in person, but we spoke often on the telephone and over time we became friends. I will always remember him for his kindness in sending me copies of his music together with the relevant SD Cards and for his help and encouragement to learn as much as I could about the Technics keyboards, particularly the KN7000. I still use his 'music books' and setups for my 'gigs' and will treasure them always.

He will be sadly missed by us all.
