Whilst on You Tube, I came across a guy playing "Maid Of Orleans" (originally recorded by OMD) on a Technics KN7000
embed code here
http://youtu.be/CYP196otkno

He used a style which, to my ears, sounds true to the original backing.
Wondered if anyone on here has come across this style and if so, would they be kind enough to share it.

I don't know who this guy is or how to contact him - all the comments on the You-Tube page are in German so I don't know whether there are any references to the style.

Hi Tony,

you look closely at the video again! There are no buttons pressed panel memory and no Ending or Fade Out button.
It is not a style but a transfer "SEQ COMPOSER TO COPY"

Take a midi, listen to you, how many cycles for the intro, the verse and chorus were taken.
What instruments except drums and bass are used for the APC.

Pressures on the KN 7000, the button "Program menu" then display "COMPOSER" then "SEQ COMPOSER TO COPY".

Is a "FIRST and LAST Measure Measure" for intro 1
The same for the Stoph, chorus ( Vari 1-4)and ending 1.

Now you have a style, which sounds like the original.

The procedure is described in the manual page 120.

Watch here and see further evidence of what HarryG is saying...

In fact I'm not even sure that this one is other than a midi file...

Hi Rog,

well observed!

Look at the right hand of the player on the guitar solo.

Look at the left hand. The chords in the song are - C - C6, G7 G7 (9) and D7 of "do you good" Bb - F - G and Gaug!

Look into the Chord Finder and compare!javascript:%20void(0)

Many thanks HarryG & Roger,
Was unable to answer as my internet went down completely after I posted, and has only just been restored.

Will try your solution Harry - never tried to make a style from a midi file before but will have a go.

Best wishes,
Tony
