As long as the break is clean, and it fits back together nice and smoothly (no missing bits or bent plastic) I honestly have had good luck to fix a key or two simply with Superglue. The trick is that it has to be a VERY good fit, and also give the glue plenty of time to cure well (it says you don't need to, but trust me, it does!), say a day or so, before you play it.
No guarantees, but give it a whirl. The sensors for velocity are independent of the key itself, so if the key fits back in place with no noticeable difference from the other keys, you should be good to go...
Just remember, Superglue needs a VERY clean surface to work it's best. If you touched the surfaces that join together, they will need some cleaning with a little denatured alcohol (on a Q-Tip) to get any finger grease off of there.
Best of luck...

Diki's right.., but BE CAREFUL with that superglue. Make sure you don't get any running. I know people that have fixed broken keys with superglue who later ran into more problems from the superglue running and well..., simply glued things together that had no business being with eachother As Diki stated.., make sure the surfaces are clean for it to really get a good hold. I got a story for ya that will confirm what Diki has said and if it worked for me in this way it'll sure as hell hold a broken key in place. Once a truck kicked up a stone and broke the turn signal cover on my old Lincoln... It had a very small crack on it.., but the force caused the ENTIRE front "square" plastic cover to come off in one piece. For the hell of it I refastened it with superglue. Guess what..., I sold that car recently and this happened over 2 years ago.., and when I sold the car it still had a superglued blinker cover that survived the elements
