Although most of my Idols are no longer with us eg: Frank, Dino, Sammy, Bobby...... I'd love a private hour or so 1 on 1 with Tony Monaco on a B3 to learn some tips & tricks for sure... ...

Now I have to hit the lottery.

Look at the guy in the video he can't believe he's there with his favorite player, his smile is Priceless. btw...
ACDC are definitly my all time favorite ROCKERS.....

once in a lifetime !

I'd suggest practicing, and playing until you are good enough that they pay YOU to play with your idols!

Shhoooooooot.., for $28,000 I want Mariah Carey between 2 slices of bread, on a platter of Alicia Keys.., with some Beyonce on the side.. All wrapped up in a DO NOT DISTURB SIGN for the door.., with an attorney standing by holding a DNR document ready for me to sign before my meal (as you know what happens in Vegas.. STAYS in Vegas baby!).., and with a meal like this.., you bet your a$$ someone's going to end up in cardiac failure....

Diki, yeah it would be nice to that good but sometimes you have to face facts. If I had the chance to have an hour like that AC/DC guy I'd go for:
Piano Rock - Bruce Hornsby
Piano Jazz - Oscar Peterson
Vocal/Guitar James Taylor
Blues Slide - Bonnie Raitt

Isn't UTube great? Free video tutorials from the greats. Thanks Donny. Keep em coming!

Well BBBB we all have our IDOLS...
I hope someday you'll meet yours also.

Happy Holidays

PS... on January 18,19,20,21, 2009 I will be meeting another one of my all time "IDOLS" DON MASON at the Louisiana Jam.....can't wait I'm Stoked baby!!

Donny, Tony has been at all recent NAMM shows in the Hammond booth. He plays all day, and is totally accessible. On top of that, he plays evenings at a nearby club.

Summer NAMM is in Nashville. The only time I take off all year is Friday of that week. I go down Friday morning, stay the night and get back to Lexington in time for my 5:00 PM Saturday gig.

I know it took Dave about 10 hours to get to Lexington, but you could fly here and we could drive to Nashville together (About three hours). Generally, my oldest son goes with me. We are the guests of a former client, Q-Lighting, and an extra ticket would be no problem.

Tony was an acquaintence of my friend Winston Walls, another B-3 giant who passed away early last year. Tony is gracious and a passionate player and promoter for Hammond.

Something to think about...

Russ
