Well thank goodness for good music shop sales staff. I got a phone call at the weekend telling me about the Yamaha S90ES and that it would definitely be better for me than the MO8. There's little to choose between them, but I have finally settled on the S90ES instead of the MO8. The S90ES wasn't in stock when I first enquired about the MO range.

I agree. It sounds amazingly but surely needs lots of time to spend on editing with a computer. So far I've prefered arrangers to workstations - arrangers seem much simpler to work with.

The MO6 is really superb. In the beginning of the demo video, there was this trance track playing (pattern). Are these patterns similar to styles on the arranger keyboards which have chord matching features or do they work differently...

I sold my MO ES 88 and replaced it with a P-250. The Piano's in the 250 blow away the ES 88. The ES was such overkill for me as I don't do sequencing. Since I have the T2, I still have the Motif Sound engine at my disposal. As a matter of fact, many of the sounds I had in the Motif I now have in the T2 which were converted by Bad Mister for the Tyros from the Motif.

Hi kbrkr I've not heard the piano sounds in the P-250 but I can say the ones in the S90ES are amazing and the keyboards feel is excellent. This also has the motif sounds which as you put do sound like the T2, but there's more of them in here and both complement each other very well.
