Hi and thanks to all of you who responded to my questions regarding speakers for my Tyros.
I would like to audition the MS50's. Does anyone know where I can hear them?

Thanks again
Tim

Sure, come on down to Louisiana. I'll be using them tonight at my supper club job.

Don,
I'll be there...hmmm...it'll only be a 20 hr. drive. You're buying dinner, right?

Tim,

You're probably not that far from my place, and I'll burn the fillet mignon on the grill when you arrive.

He certainly won't make it in time for the Supper Club Gig. Maybe the one on Monday... 20 Hrs.! Wow! You must be at least 1,000 miles away from Don Mason Tim. But you can bet Southern hospitality will just ooze from him and Susan if and when you do get there.

Best regards,
Mike

If you do get to Don he'll try to get you to eat creepy things that live in a creek. Don, you need to come up to Yankee country and have some real food. There is nothing better than fresh Lake Michigan perch.

Tom

P.S. How was your mom?

Mom was great, for 82 years old. We celebrated her husband's 90th birthday while we were there. He is in really great shape.

Guess what--the sales is over. The speakers are now $69.00 a set. Still a bargain in my opinion.

Well Don,

I guess I didn't make it for the demo or dinner.

Call me goofy, but I ordered the MS01 speakers for the Tyros. I wanted them to be able to fit on the keyboard. If they are not adequate, I will consider additional speakers later but for now I'll give these a chance.

BTW...ever hear of shoefly pie, pig's stomach, or funny cake? That's the kind of stuff we eat here in PA. It's wonderful good!

I hear that the Tyros speakers are very similar to the ones I have, but they DO fit the brackets. Very helpful.
Good Luck.
We have funnel cakes here. I wonder if they are the same. Very good, but definitely not on my diet.

Hey Tim,

Did you ever get to hear the speakers?

Gary,

No, I didn't. I could not find any store which carries them here in my neck of the woods...not even the store where I bought the Tyros. (21/2 hrs. from my home).

The MS50s and I assume the Tyros speakers, are plenty loud for small to medium jobs. If there is a problem it is with the "throw" or projection of the sound. If you are in a room where the surfaces are hard and reflective they do quite nicely. I would be very careful in a dull room, perhaps with a lot of carpet and drapes.

Don,

I think the Tyros speakers will be just fine. 99 percent of the time the board will stay in my bedroom. Loud enough, I guess.
They will be delivered Thurs. I'll let you know what I think.

Oh yeah! They'll be loud enough. I actually play Nursing Homes with up to 75 people with them.
