It arrived today. Plugged it in and began to play - live piano - and it wavers like the mod wheel is in the up position. All sounds do the same... However it won't stop no matter where I position the mod wheel...also the pitch bend wheel has no effect on the sound of instruments.

I tried a factory reset. Can't seem to find the problem.

Any technical suggestions? Is there a setting I need to check? Or is this just one more defective S900???

Tim

Sounds like the connector to the wheels came loose in transit, or was not assembled properly.

Send it back.

I just read a post at Yamaha PK Owner forum. A new PSR-S900 with the registration button #1 not working.

Mine has a problem also. The right-hand sound starts behaving as if the pitchbend wheel is engaged, even though it isn't. You must manually move the the wheel up and down to make it stop. At first it did it occasionally. Now it does it increasingly more and more, as much as once or twice PER SONG.
Mine was damaged in shipment slightly, and maybe that has something to do with it. At any rate, George Kaye is replacing it as soon as he gets another in stock.
Yay George!!! Wonderful service!

Well all I can say is I'm not one bit sorry that I waited and now, even though it sounds like a great board, I might consider something else.

With all the S900 problems that I have been reading about, I'm glad I bought the original.

Well, here's one unhappy camper.
It's packed up and is getting shipped back tomorrow.

I wonder, has anyone gotten one that didn't have problems?
