Nigel, just an off the subject question. How do you type the accent over the e in Jose's name?

Fran, to be honest I don't know, I simply copied and pasted his name from his posting that already had the accent.

Don't you guys have an é or an è in your keyboard? It's the 11th key in the 2nd row from above, the one with
" q w e r t y u i o p è + "

I remember the first time I sat down to begin typing an owners manual on an Italian keyboard. I had glanced at them many times and always assumed them to be the same as he ones in the states (once you see QWERTYUIOP you assume that everything else must be the same).

It didn't take me long to realize that, with the exception of the basic alphabet, everything was in a different place or simply not there at all. In fact, each European nation has a slightly different keyboard layout according to the characters that are popular in that language.

If you can't find what you're looking for on your country's particular keyboard layout, you can always access the complete character set using Windows' "Character Map" which can be optionally installed with any version of Windows (Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Windows Components).

In this way you can type José, Josǽ or even Josﻯﻊﻃﺹﺉ as you wish.

Hi
on my PC there is a choice of just about every script.
Click on "view" at the top of the page, then "encoding" and see if you have other scripts.
cheers
Eddie
