Loved my 2000 but became tired of really only (3) things: 1. Acoustic piano weakness (my opinion only) 2. delicate keys and 3. limited settings (register only 1 sound bank - ots). Oh yeh, I'd also would prefer some synth sounds too. Wondering about the upgrade on these issues with the Tyros. Bob might have a good thing going with a group purchase and would appreciate feedback to my questions before my potential purchase.
thanks, zuk1

Zuk: The big selling point of the 2000 is that it sports so many great features (lots usable sounds, decent pro sounding vocalizer, MusicFinder, built in speakers) in a surprsingly small & light weight package (perfect for frequent gig transport) and at an incrediably LOW price. I agree that the PSR2000 has it's limitations (extremely limited USER memory capacity, no hard drive support, cheesy keyboard feel, a not great, but at least half way decent sounding acoustic piano, unable to easily select/store specific intro/ending variation type, etc), but I still think the PSR2000 is the best BANG for the BUCK arranger keyboard out there. The Tyros (imo) addresses (and corrects) the above listed deficiencies of the PSR2000. I might miss the built in speakers and smaller size/weight of the PSR2000, but the Tyros looks to be a worthwhile upgrade path for PSR2000 owners. The Tyros file managment design is the same as on the 2000, so the Tyros reads all of the PSR2000 OTS integrated styles.

I'm wondering if the Tyros will also recognize and load PSR2000 'MusicFinder' and PSR2000 'Memory Registrations' as well. Anone here know?

Scott - thanks for the reply. I really liked my 2000 and had loads of fun. It even sounded great out live. I heard the Tyros live at summer NAMM and it blew me away (for the few minutes I had to listen). I still am considering the PRO, for a number of reasons (12 more impressive features over the 2000)Anxious to see what Bob might come up with on Tyros group pricing. Will stay in the Yam family. Kind of like school major..familiarity and building blocks.
