My scanned jpegs are in Paperport format. That is the software that was bundled with my One Touch(Visioneer)scanner.

The advantages of the Musicpad Pro are
1.Screen size that is more amenable to vertical images without scrolling.

2.Playlist or song recall that is probably faster than Paperport.

3.Can add or subtract notes , and notation.

4.Turn pages with footswitch(optional).

5.More inconspicuous presence.

Disadvantages

1.$1200

2.That is all it can do, e.g.can't play midi,CD etc

However, what it does, it does well.
