I normally do remove the screen when performing indoors, but in this situation, wanted some added assurance of no popping 'p's as a few songs I was singing demanded getting extra close into the mic. I realize you lose a little vocal detail with a screen, but the added pop protection it provides can sometimes be worth it. In addition, on a health note: I generally try to AVOID letting anyone else use my microphone, for the SAME reason I don't share my personal toothbrush, or use someone else's toothbrush. Unfortunately, on stage, having to share one's mic sometimes can't be avoided, so the foam (easily washable) mic screen offers added protection in this regard as well. - Scott
