It seems the only tweaking I do on my mixer is gain, and now with these speakers they seem incredibly loud so I don't think I'll need it. I do, however, like the idea of mixing both signals to each speaker rather than one through each speaker...I don't know if the mixer is powered, it needs to be plugged in, does that mean its powered?This is the one I have:

So I will benefit using this instead of running the KBs through one speaker each in mono? Also, I'm using a Hosa XLR to 1/4" adaptor on the back of the JBL speakers, this doesnt affect the quality of sound does it?
