It is always my goal to let the instrument I play on my KN7000 sound as natural as possible. So I try to play a certain instrument as it is played originally. That means that I use only touch sensitivity on piano, (acoustic) guitar, harp, etc. But some instruments have the need for (de)cresendo during notes and that must be done with the swell pedal, as I mostly use the aftertouch for other effects. How dull would a Hammond sound when you rip the swell.
I use the swell pedal only for the parts I play myself, not for the accompaniment. I think this adds to a much more expressive song.
