Bernie, I am playing around with Band in a box (2014).

I inserted very complex chords (jazz chords). Then selected a style from the library.
After that I selected solos (yes , trading fours). Drums, bass, piano and added the sax, trumpet, trombone and guitar.
All tracks are "real" tracks.

Donny there are no timing issues I have noticed in the past what you thought was timing issues is just a driving bass or laying back solo.. Yourself not coming from a jazz background, may not be aware of this. Expand your concept of jazz and listen to the great jazz groups on you tube.
