Hi,
I’m starting from scratch anyway, don’t have registrations from prior psr’s, so maybe a good thing.
The downloadable songlist and registrations, is possibly a starting point to get ideas of what styles to use for a particular song, but really I prefer to choose my own.
Thanks to Stephen, I downloaded the Songbook + software for my iPad, now starting to create my registrations and linking them to the songs in the Songbook app.
Great when you tap on a song you want to play, and up pops the corresponding registration.
Discovering this is so much easier than flicking thru an album with a 100 + songs, then trying to find a style to use with it, or deciphering the scribbled notes on what style I used last time.
As for styles, definitely better using the ones onboard, but , having said that, there are at least a couple of hundred that aren’t on the SX, and work almost perfectly with it. Some don’t have an equivalent. They dropped a bunch of movie styles that I am finally able to play thanks to the voices on the sx, Some ballads appear to be missing.
So, definitely , onboard is always better, but prior styles do come in handy too.
