If you have the iPad photo adapter which allows you to plug a USB cable into the iPad, that is all you need for connecting your keyboard to the iPad.
You can do the same thing with your PC or Mac, but you do need to install the Yamaha USB drivers for those machines. It is not really hard to do - you just download them from the Yamaha keyboard site, unzip the files, read the instructions and do the step by step install.
Now your keyboard does not send Audio via USB, but it does handle MIDI in both directions. I just go to "Settings" on each of the iPad apps I have and select my keyboard for MIDI there or select the channels - they are all similar.
