If you only want your keyboard GM sounds to play the file from the PC sequencer program, I don't think the program needs to recognize your keyboard, but the keyboard just has to receive the correct midi messages, so (besides the proper usb/midi connection) you need to select the correct MSB/LSB/PC (bank number/program change) for each track/part. These values are normally indicated for each sound in the sound list of the keyboard. I don't know if this addresses your problem?
