Yamaha's might have some issues with basic GM drum kit mappings, but on the whole, shouldn't be much of a problem.

Thing is, unless the program ASKS for Variation sounds, it should just play the Capitol sound if all it sees is a PC#, so no problem there.

Overall, Bernie, I'd just hook them up via MIDI and see if there's an issue before you go looking for help. You might be pleasantly surprised!
