I think that the issue is a generational one. In fairness, I can't remember the last hit that had a trumpet solo on it. You've pretty much got to go back to maybe Herb Alpert before you can remember a trumpet player having anything to do with modern music. Maybe 'Rise' was about the last thing it had any great importance on.

Piano, though... plenty of those still on the charts!
