At Home Depot I was able to get a 1" diameter piece of strong Black PVC tubing in the plumbing dept......cut it to the desired length, wrapped it a few times with Gorilla tape to take up the slight difference in diameter, shoved it inside the X stand Tier tube 19"....drilled two holes for the screws thru the existing holes.......screwed it back onto the X stand and attached the Quick Lok Mic Boom Coupling as pictured.
I will try it out on tonight's Dinner gig & report back.
