Hi Guys,

Giovanni,
My wife and I attended the Internation Accordion Convention in Vegas around 2000 or 2001, havn't been back since. Didn't care for the Plaza Hotel or the downtown area. Perhaps moving to the Gold Coast Hotel will help.

I saw the Concierto demoed at the National Accordion Association, formerly Texas Acc ASS. in Dallas on March 9-11 2006. Gordon Kohl was there with his, and there were a couple of others.

Ed,

I guess I'll always be looking for the ultimate sound module. I agree many accordionist and accordon sellers use and recommend the XD-3. I bought the XD-9 which is the keyboard version of the XD-3 on ebay, really got a good deal.

Its my understanding, although I havn't seen one, that the Midijay is more for midi file playback and sequencing. I do know however that it has some styles and many sounds.

The Tyros 2 strikes my fancy because I can at least understand the manual. Also I believe that tech support may be more available with the Tyros 2.

I considered the GEM Genesys XP, but Like Ketron, the manual becomes almost usless. I don't see how so much info can be missed in the translation. It was listed as having 256 STYLES, as does the Genesys, but it turns out that there are only 128. Who knows?

Finally, I would like to know more about the new LIMEX SYSTEM. I've heard that they now have auto rythms that can be played from smart cards. But there again I can't find one to listen to.

Didn't mean to write a book!

Regards
Don
