Hi Don.
Almost didn't see you down here in the Yamaha Arranger Forum. Most arranger enthusiasts are posting in Synth Zone's
General Arranger Keyboard Forum. Try your question there.
I played accordion in a dance band for a lot of years but now, I play a Yamaha PSR3000, mostly for personal enjoyment.
I'm not sure what you mean by auto and manual rhythm. Do you mean turning the auto-accompaniment off while the drums and related percussion sounds are still playing?
If so, the PSR3000 has a button (on the instrument's surface, not in a menu on the screen) to turn the auto-accompaniment on and off. I would think that the Tyros has the same, or similar.
Anyway, welcome!
Its good to hear from another accordion/arranger player. There are others out here too. I'm still a member of the Chicago Accordion Club, enjoy the accordion, and get out to hear the local accordion guys doing their thing whenever I can.
If midi accordions were not so darn expensive, I probably would have went that route, over the keyboard because i'm more at home (or was anyway) on the accordion.
Definitely post your question to the "General" Arranger board here at SynthZone.
Anything you're doing musically/electronically with the accordion involved, will always be of interest to me, so post away here at the zone.
