The newer Class D amps are more efficient than the Class A, B, or AB, but some think give up something in terms of 'warmth' in the sound.
'Line level', the PRACTICAL explanation. Only input the signal from a PRE-amp, never an AMP. Also, the direct signal from your arranger or similar equipment. Usual input is from an UN-powered mixer.
