I tried the XP30 along side the XP80 in a shop and the '80 definitely sounded better than the 30. The sound seemed slightly clearer with better depth & stereo definition when compared to the same patch on the '30. I wonder if the 30 has cheaper D/A convertors due to the lower cost?
