These contains all the wavetable data the instrument uses (including guitar loops). Perhaps these are stored in a flash ROM also, and they left a copy in this directory however... In effect if Audya had to load these at each power on, the startup time could be much longer considering the time it take to load a 30MB supersound in RAM... (around 30 seconds)...
