I can't really participate either...I generally change every three years.

My job allows me to always have the latest arranger to work with, although the choice to buy it is still up to me.

I usually end up buying...having an employee's discount helps and is certainly a motivator.

It's not that I don't learn all about each successive instrument...again my work requires I know it completely...so being totally familiar with it is a given, and it usually doesn't take that long to get up to speed considering the Yamaha OS system doesn't vary that much from one year to the next.

I love the S900, but unless the next generation is a step backward(unlikely),I can pretty well guarantee I'll move on up to a new T3 or S***.
