Whilst I agree with some of the song analysis they don't alter our position. The average crowd may have the musical taste and appreciation of a fruit bat but they our still OUR audience.

We almost always do Unchained Melody - and if we don't you can bet it gets requested. Similarly "Everything I Do....".

I sometime feel that critics feel unable to praise anything mainstream. Having seen both "Harry Potter" films and found them more than acceptable entertainment, I remember one critic saying "The films produced by Chris Columbus therefore I won't like it".

On the wedding theme I was at one do where the DJ had less brains than that fruit bat. As ever, no-one will dance until the bride and groom have had the first dance - but the DJ neither played anything suitable nor asked them onto the floor. In exasperation I reminded the DJ, who rushed over to the couple who were deep in conversation.

The question was to the bride - "what's your favourite tune - and can you start the dancing."

The answer "Janet Jackson - What Have YOu Done For Me Lately"
